Terena has received Digital Transformation support from the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS).

Tallinna Eriarstikeskus is digitalising its services and internal workflows to provide patients with better, more personalised, and more consistent healthcare. The project will help streamline the patient journey, reduce bureaucracy, and improve access to high-quality healthcare services. Through digital transformation, the clinic aims to become a leading example of preventive and data-driven healthcare in Estonia.

Over the next five years, Tallinna Eriarstikeskus aims to become a best-in-class digitally transformed healthcare provider, where both initial and follow-up patient interactions are conducted digitally, and where employees’ daily work is supported by digital tools. The objective is to eliminate manual work processes, establish data-driven workflows, and enable staff to focus on higher value-added tasks.

The clinic’s goal is to develop digital tools that guide patients from the public website to the self-service portal, enable appointment booking through the self-service environment, and feed patient needs and interactions back into the CRM system. This will support the management of cancer prevention screening programmes and diagnostic examinations, where digital tools can optimise the use of medical equipment and physicians’ time, thereby increasing service capacity while making more efficient use of existing resources.

As a result of the project, automated appointment booking and billing solutions will be implemented. The outcome will be improved patient experience management, reduced manual work and administrative workload at the reception desk, as well as increased revenue driven by a growing number of returning patients.

The project has been funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Recovery and Resilience Facility. The total value of the project is EUR 628,140, of which EUR 399,698 is provided as grant funding.
