Our story is personal
Terena was born from personal experience. Obstetrician-gynaecologists Lee Padrik and Kristiina Kuhi — colleagues and friends — wanted to open a clinic. When the opportunity arose to create their own clinic, they decided to take the step and try something they had not done before. The 22 years of experience of Lee Padrik working in private clinics helped to create a vision of what could be done better than before.
The starting point was simple — if you do it, do it well. The goal was to create an environment where both they and their colleagues feel good working, because this also shapes the patient experience.
Development was seen as a gradual process: they started small and grew step by step, adding new services and acquiring the necessary equipment.
This led to the establishment of the Tallinn Specialist Medical Centre in 2018 on the fifth floor of Lasnamäe Health House, with the aim of bringing essential medical care together in one place. Since 2026, we have been operating under the name Terena and have expanded to Ülemiste and Lasnamäe Health Houses and the Elora Keila Hospital premises.

Accurate and reliable diagnosis
The result of the examination depends on:
- the quality of the equipment;
- the competence of the technicians;
- specialised reporting physicians.
We have invested in the latest MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound equipment so that doctors can do their work with devices they can trust, and patients can trust the doctors’ reports.
Health Insurance Fund funding and cooperation with family doctors
We have Health Insurance Fund contracts in the following specialties:
- Gynaecology,
- Dermatovenereology,
- Cancer screening programmes,
With a referral from a family doctor or specialist, you can undergo:
- Endoscopic examinations
- Mammography and X-ray examinations
- Ultrasound and MRI examinations
- Foot care and cryotherapy
