Rei Meier
Otolaryngologist
English, Estonian, Russian
- Active surgical practice in the field of otorhinolaryngology (more than 300 operations per year)
- Working in several healthcare institutions (including elective and emergency care in a regional hospital and a children’s hospital), providing broad clinical experience.
The work of an otorhinolaryngologist provides an opportunity to solve a wide range of diverse and often complex medical problems, where not only accurate diagnosis but also a clear and effective treatment solution is essential. Patients of different ages with various conditions seek my consultation, making every clinical case individual and requiring a thoughtful approach.
In my work, I consider accurate diagnostics, clear communication, and a treatment plan that is understandable and well-justified for the patient to be essential. I follow evidence-based treatment principles and value teamwork in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
I have further developed my professional skills through practical training courses both in Estonia and abroad. My special interest lies in functional nasal and ear surgery; however, I also manage a broad range of ear, nose, and throat conditions in my daily practice, providing both conservative and surgical treatment options.

In my free time
In my free time, I regularly engage in sports, including jiu-jitsu and strength training. I enjoy active outdoor activities, such as hiking and travelling. In winter, I also practise winter swimming, which provides a refreshing change from everyday routines.
I also make time for cultural events, theatre, and ballet, which allow me to slow down for a while, relax, and shift my focus.
